It’s been so fun seeing new faces around here — if you’re one of them, hi and welcome! If you’re liking what you see, feel free to follow along over on Instagram for more day-in-the-life moments, behind-the-scenes chaos (the good kind) and some of my favorite client work. You can also see more of my photography portfolio and projects on my website.
May photo shoots:
The past few weeks have been a whirlwind of shoots, including some all-time favorite lifestyle clients Mellow Mushroom and Maison Venu. I’m heading into June with some new clients I’m really excited about — more on that soon. Here’s some film stills from my shoot with Maison Venu and some tablescape inspiration for your summer gatherings.Currently reading:
Designing Your Life: The book offers a creative blueprint of sorts for figuring out what you actually want out of life, not just what sounds impressive on paper. It’s less “find your passion!” and more “prototype your way toward clarity.” A must-read for anyone (all of us) feeling stuck or burnt out by the traditional career path.
Summers at the Saint: This one’s an ideal beach read. In typical Mary Kay Andrews fashion, it’s an escapist novel set at a swanky coastal resort in the heat of summer. So easy to picture how it all plays out while you read and full of the good stuff — scandals, mystery, Southern charm, romance of course. Perfect for reading poolside or while mentally planning your own summer escape.
Travel recap:
I spent a little time in the Bahamas to photograph a friend’s micro-wedding and snapped these photos while there. I vote for more weddings here!Coming up:
This month, I’m off to Switzerland to photograph three luxury properties (someone please pinch me). I’ll be splitting my time between St. Moritz, Zurich and Lugano. If you have recommendations for any of those cities — restaurants, shops, hidden gems — send them my way! My DMs (new feature on Substack!) and inbox are open.If you missed it:
I wrote a piece on the power of photography for brands — ‘Photography is the Front Door to Your Brand.’ It’s one of my favorite things I’ve written lately — a mix of marketing insight and creative conviction. If you’re brand-building or brand-curious, give it a read.A few questions of reflection I’m holding onto as I head into June:
What would a fulfilling month of June feel like — not just look like?
What’s one thing I can plan just for fun — no pressure, just joy?
Am I making time for the people and things that nourish me?
Here’s to a month of intentional creative work, sunny shoots and making space for the stuff that fills you up.
xx,
Kathryn Ann

The way you capture light in your pictures is beautiful. You need a youtube channel. A travel blog, perhaps. I would love to know more of the person who has this ability.
I live in Switzerland, I can give you some recommendations! :)
